Paki’s V Panel Sweaters presents a unique overlay method
for creating and applying a V panel to a pullover or cardigan
which results in a very professional looking garment.
Either sweater can be made as a vest or with
¾ length sleeves or long sleeves.
The V panel pieces are not knit-in to the front but are
two straight knit pieces that are sewn into a V shape then attached.
This pattern can be used for either a man or a woman in any size.
Instructions are written for small, medium and large sizes.
(A medium can easily fit a chest measurement of 45".)
If a smaller, larger or customized garment is desired, there is a drafting section
provided to tailor the garment to different sizes or to a different gauge.
This detailed book will walk you through step-by-step and includes
numerous graphic drawings for clarity.
These patterns were designed on a Brother KH-910 Electroknit knitting machine.
Any standard or bulky gauge knitting machine can be used as long as it can do
fairisle pattern knitting (more than 1 color of yarn per row).
Original Fairisle designs include:
Snowflake, Pinwheel, Duck, Nordic, Indian, Bird,
Wildside, Piano (keys), Southwest
Once you learn the basic technique you can use other
fairisle, lace, tuck or slip patterns of your choice.
